Do you have a Mac and want to use SKY Index?

Because SKY Index is a Windows program, Mac owners are faced with a difficult decision. If they prefer the advanced editing features and user interface of SKY Index over the other available indexing programs, they face either having to purchase Windows and Parallels (or Fusion) to run SKY Index on their Mac, or avoid those costs and use a program that isn't their first choice in indexing software.

Here's our solution: You can purchase Parallels and Windows so that you can run SKY Index on your Mac and when you then purchase SKY Index Professional v7.0, we will lower the price of SKY Index Professional v7.0 enough to cover the cost of Parallels and Windows to a maximum of $175. That way you can use your indexing program of choice and not face the additional cost of making SKY Index work on your Mac.

How can I get reimbursed?

Here is how it works:

  1. First, you must purchase Parallels and Windows for your Mac. The invoice(s) must be dated within two weeks of your request to purchase SKY Index Professional v7.0.
  2. Send us scanned copies of the invoice(s) by email (to sales@sky-software.com) along with your request to purchase SKY Index Professional v7.0.
  3. After receipt of the required proof of purchase of Parallels and Windows, we'll send you an invoice for the purchase of SKY Index that subtracts your cost for the purchase of Parallels and Windows (to a maximum of $175) from the purchase price of SKY Index. (Note: If you shop around you should be able to purchase both Parallels and Windows and stay within - or very close to - the allowed discount amount.)

Who qualifies for this offer?

To qualify for this offer, you must meet the following requirements:

Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)

Question: Will you support SKY Index on my Mac?

We offer the same world class support for SKY Index on your Mac as we do for SKY Index on a PC. However, please keep in mind that we provide support only for SKY Index. We cannot provide support for issues with Parallels or Windows or how to use those two products. For assistance with those programs you must contact the product's own support team. Once you've got Parallels and Windows installed, we will happily assist you with installation and other support issues related to SKY Index Professional.

Question: Is this offer good for Fusion if I prefer it to Parallels?

Yes. However, the Mac that we have in-house has Parallels instead of Fusion so we can't assist you with issues related to using SKY Index in the Fusion virtual machine environment if you should encounter any. For that reason, we suggest that you use Parallels. Note: This is not an endorsement of Parallels over Fusion. We chose Parallels purely because it appeared to be the more popular choice and therefore more Mac owners would potentially want to use it for running SKY Index in a virtual machine environment. The popularity of a product does not the necessarily indicate the superiority of a product.
