Core Editing Commands
There are 9 core editing commands in SKY Index. These are the commands that you're most likely to use frequently and are therefore assigned to
function keys so that they can be executed with a single keystroke.
The core editing commands are:
Command |
Shortcut |
Swap - Swaps the current heading with its parent heading.

empty heading at that level.

Combine - The same as Promote except that the promoted text is appended to the parent heading's text with a single space.

All
nine of these commands allow you to add two modifiers that enhance the command’s action. The modifiers are:
Ctrl – Instructs SKY Index to duplicate the record or records you wish to edit before editing them. This leaves an unaltered copy of the original index entries behind.
Ctrl+Shift – With this modifier, SKY Index will duplicate the records, but in addition, will create a group out of the duplicated and edited records when the edit
is finished. This allows you to manipulate those records further without worrying about affecting the rest of the index.
